Tubing Encapsulated Conductor
Tubing Encapsulated Conductor (TEC) is used to supply power downhole to the gauge and transfer the digital data uphole. The copper conductor is double insulated and the protected by a 6.35mm OD stainless steel tube with a wall thickness of 0.71mm. A coating of 11mm x 11mm Polypropylene is used to add additional protect the tube wire.
